API is the major national trade association representing the entire
petroleum industry: exploration and production, transportation,
refining, and marketing. With headquarters in Washington, D.C.,
and petroleum councils in 33 states, it is a forum for all parts
of the oil and natural gas industry to pursue priority public policy
objectives and advance the interests of the industry in a legally
appropriate manner.

ARPEL counts with an Information System available in Internet,
that offers useful, updated, reliable, direct and appropriate information
on: The Region - Oil and Gas Statistics - Product Quality - Infraestructure;
Oil and Gas Legislation; Environment, Health and Safety; Events
and News. ARPEL has developed links with other regional and extra-regional
organizations to expand that information, by making strategic alliances

industry in Australia. APPEA's mission is to achieve a legislative,

responsible and profitable oil and gas exploration, development

The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers is the voice of
the upstream producing sector of the petroleum industry. CAPP'smember
companies explore for, develop and produce more than 95 per cent
of Canada’s natural gas and crude oil. CAPP’s mission is to enhance
the economic well-being and sustainability of the Canadian upstream
petroleum industry in a socially, environmentally and technically
responsible manner. top

The Independent Petroleum Association of America is dedicated to
ensuring a strong, viable domestic oil and natural gas industry,
recognizing that an adequate and secure supply of energy is essential
to the national economy. Purpose The Independent Petroleum Association
of America is the national association representing the 8,000 independent
crude oil and natural gas explorer/producers in the United States.
It also operates in close cooperation with 44 unaffiliated independent
national, state and regional associations, which together represent
thousands of royalty owners and the companies which provide services
and supplies to the domestic industry. top

The OGP is the worldwide association of oil and gas companies involved
in exploration and production. OGP's members include private and
state-owned oil and gas companies, national associations and petroleum
institutes. OGP aims to: increase understanding of the industry;
work with international regulators to develop workable proposals
which take full account of industry views; contribute to continuous
improvements in industry operating standards; be a visible and approachable
organisation to which governments and others refer on matters relating
to the industry; maintain a large, diverse and active membership;
and communicate issues affecting members to international bodies
and the public. top

OLF is organised in two branches, one for oil companies and one
for contracting companies. The oil companies are either owners of
or participants in porduction licenses for petroleum on the Norwegian
Continental Shelf. The branch for contracting companies includes
well service companies, drilling companies, subsea contractors,
catering companies, supply bases and companies within the fields
of inspection, safety and security services and other services. top

UK Offshore Operators Association (UKOOA) is the representative
organisation for the UK offshore oil and gas industry. Its members
are companies licensed by the Government to explore for and produce
oil and gas in UK waters. UKOOA's mission is to provide leadership
to maintain the development of a forward-looking, profitable, thriving
and responsible offshore oil and gas industry and to enhance its
reputation and develop relationships with government, public and
other stakeholders. top
