BP & GE Nigerian subs launch crewboat & youth program - NIGERIA

Arco Marine and a GE subsidiary in Nigeria have launched a new crewboat for service between Warri and offshore facilities and with it a youth jobs program. Arco Marine and Oilfield Services Limited in conjunction with partner Nuovo Pignone, a subsidiary of General Electric, announced the latter on Saturday in Warri while launching the new vessel, the M/V Julie.

Louisiana's Port Fourchon critical US Gulf facilities link but in jeopardy - USA

The latest tropical storm in the US Gulf of Mexico, Isidore, swept across southern Louisiana and left flooded drillsites and inundated infrastructure, but it could have been far worse, according to Ted Falgout, the executive director of the Greater LaForche Port Commission, location of Port Fourchon.
